Advert design & specification
One of the key starting points in recruiting new staff is deciding on what type of person you are looking for and with what level of experience and/or qualifications. We can design a person specification for you - tailor made to suit your vacancy. From this we can write the text for your advert that will attract the right type of person for your requirements in keeping with current employment legislation. Furthermore we can apply a sifting policy for you to ensure you select the right candidates for interview, or short-list the applications on your behalf.
Interviewing & assessment
We have a number of options available to help you through the interview process confidently and professionally. We can provide an 'interview skills course' designed to improve your own skills in conducting interviews. We can write specific questions for you to use on the day or if you prefer, we can supply a number of exercises for you to use during an Assessment Centre format. Alternatively we can offer competency based interviews and/or exercises if you require these to recruit at management level from a 'behavioural' point of view.
Set-up & references
To complete the process we can guide you through the procedure for requesting references either by telephone or in writing including advice on how to avoid falling foul of the Data Protection Act. In addition we can devise contracts of employment for you covering all legal obligations and tailored to you individual needs. We can also provide advice on what should and should not be included in an employee's 'Personnel File' coupled with their rights of access to this information.
Induction
We can design an induction process for your new employees, specifically tailored to your business requirements – be this for over the period of 1 week or 1 month. We can also provide evaluation questionnaires to test the effectiveness of the process ensuring that your new employees are happy and comfortable in their new roles within your company.
